The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Temporary Enrollment Advisor. This is a Part Time Temporary position.
Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to recruit qualified new online academic credit and professional credit students, following up with existing students in accordance with university policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards.
Salary: $19.00 per hour
Work Schedule: This position is a 100% remote position. Must be available to complete job duties: Monday – Thursday 3-8pm and Saturday 10-2pm (Eastern time) for scheduled work hours up to 25 hours per week.
Applicants are required to reside within the state of North Carolina at the start of the employment assignment.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalency, and two years of customer service experience.
Essential Job Duties: This position is responsible for recruiting qualified new online academic credit and professional credit students, following up with existing students in accordance with university policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards. The Enrollment Advisor is responsible for managing time and inquiry resources to generate interest in our programs. This position will reach out to prospective, existing, and prior students via phone, email, and text to provide program consultation and secure enrollment applications and course registrations.
Consistently conduct follow-up contact with all prospects to ensure successful registration.
Complete data entry and other administrative tasks. Utilize Salesforce to document and track enrollment progress for students. Help students navigate the website, Canvas, and the university application portal.
Preferred Qualifications: Recruiting and prospecting experience in higher education. 3-5 years of customer service experience. Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of an ability to work with a diverse clientele as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
