Job Summary: To serve as the program manager for Perkins funding, duties including; project development, budgeting, reporting, guiding management, staff and faculty through compliance updates, and attending meetings with various partners. To develop, implement and maintain processes to ensure compliance of the Northland Community and Technical College's (NCTC) internal audit function for assigned special projects and grant activities. To serve as liaison for NCTC to the various Federal Awarding Organizations and the Minnesota State System Office. To be responsible for assessing risks, advising key institutional administrators on the resolution of audit findings and evaluating program performance and compliance for grant activities.
1. Develop processes to ensure compliance of the grant activities and build a relationship of trust with grant Principal Investigators and other key administrators within NCTC.
2. Oversee Perkins grants.
3. Maintain a current knowledge of the internal auditing profession to ensure compliance with Minnesota State System Office of Internal Audit ing and other Federal auditing agencies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
o Grant reporting/auditing experience.
o Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations.
o Project management skills and the ability to work within presentation and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
o Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations.
o Effective communication and human relations skills.
o Ability to communicate both written and orally to conduct planning sessions, for making speeches and presentations, and for conducting telephone discussions.
o Ability to work with little supervision and have good organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Strong background or knowledge in database, statistics, grants.
o Knowledgeable of Federal, State and Private grant policies and procedures.
o Knowledgeable about college policies and procedures, programs and curriculum and services.

This position requires successful completion of the following: In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
