Patent Assistant
Moore & Van Allen is a prominent, business and litigation firm with offices in the Carolinas.
This full-time position, located in our Charlotte NC office, is responsible for a variety of duties for timekeepers that relate to organizing, preparing, filing, docketing and maintaining all U.S. and foreign patent and trademark documents. May generate and assist in the preparation of documents necessary for filing and prosecution of patent and trademark applications using specific U.S. Patent & Trademark Office software and generating electronic filings, foreign filings, PCT applications, and Chapter II Demands. May draft standard correspondence, memoranda and other documents, proofing documents upon completion and perform various administrative duties (travel arrangements, answering phones, calendaring etc.).
Must have project and process management skills. A High School diploma or the equivalent is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred. Specialized training in the patent area is not required. Candidates must possess excellent computer skills to include: MS Word and Excel and the ability and willingness to learn new software.
