DENTAL ASSISTANTS
DENTAL ASSISTANTS , STERILIZATION TECHS
The MACT Health Board, Inc. was established in 1969 to provide quality healthcare services to Native Americans and Alaska Natives. With the expansion of our dental services into Calaveras County, we are facing a shortage of qualified support staff members. MACT is now in the process of training and promoting FOUR levels of Dental Assistants: Those with little or no experience may learn about the dental field while receiving training and education, can apply for a new position at MACT called a “sterilization tech”. These entry level positions start out learning to clean rooms and dental instruments. Those that excel will be trained on-site to become Dental Assistants (while being paid, of course). People who completed Dental Assisting training at a technical school or elsewhere, but lack significant experience may apply for our “Dental Assistant” positions. Again, MACT will provide on-site training and development of professional level skills. Those that excel at this level will be allowed to test and if they pass the state test will promote to Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Experienced/Qualified RDA’s may apply for openings as well, and those interested in leading/training new recruits may apply for our “Lead RDA” positions. Similar programs exist at MACT for Medical Assistants. Those interested in administrative, billing, and front office positions may apply for our “workforce Investment program”. All opportunities require going to the MACT website at www.macthealth.org and clicking on the employment tab. Electronic applications only. No resumes or phone calls, please.
