The George Mason University Department of Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Employee Health Coordinator. About the Position:
The Employee Health Coordinator supports the SEERM mission in daily matters, with an emphasis on providing technical and administrative support for the Employee Health and Well-Being function including: record keeping, scheduling, administrative support, screening navigator duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience (generally 1+ year(s)) in administrative/clerical/customer service work;
- Knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams), databases and internet applications;
- Demonstrated skill in effective communication, both written and verbal; ability to communicate accurately and clearly, and in a timely manner;
- Skill in providing effective and respectful customer service;
- Critical thinking skills;
- Demonstrated time management skills;
- Ability to work with significant attention to detail;
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive/confidential information;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of personalities and work styles;
- Ability to proactively address issues/ask questions;
- Ability to prioritize projects and deadlines; and
- Ability to effectively and efficiently schedule customers for EHAW services, maintain program records (many of which will contain Personal Health Information).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at an institution of higher education;
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree; and
- Prior experience with Occupational/Employee Health programs.
