Project Process Manager
Project Process Manager for Electro Plating Penn United Technologies, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. is a leader in our precision-driven industry, providing the highest quality manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of work, related to managing plating projects as well as managing the support functions ranging from planning, supplier relations, customer relations. This person will serve as a liaison between manufacturing, sales and the customer. Penn United is a 600 plus employee-owned precision manufacturer located in Butler, PA.
Responsibilities:

Manage assigned project activities, coordinate activities with sales, operations, engineering/prototype, manufacturing, and quality.

Perform contract review duties for the assigned customer.

Manage, with the APQP coordinator, advanced quality planning activities.

Responsible for precious metals accountability and usage calculations

Conduct supplier research and communication for problem solving

Drive focus of the team on accomplishing goals.

Create estimation models and resulting cost/budget for project.

Focus on lean manufacturing throughout entire project.

Regularly review job estimated costs vs. actual costs, working with all leadership members in the group.

Manage customer service inquires, responding to all in a timely manner.

Manage and direct customer service functions, including customer inquiries and complaints.

Work with the production & manufacturing managers to ensure commitments to the customer are met.

Generate and assist in implementing innovative ideas, approaches and solutions.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience with plating-related activities strongly preferred.

Bachelors degree, preferably in mechanical / process engineering /business management, or related equivalent experience.

Ability to integrate knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, company capabilities and customer needs.

Ability to lead and manage people, schedules and multiple projects.

Appropriate knowledge stamping or plating, project management and supply chain.

Solid understanding and experienced application of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Ability to quickly learn and use required computer software effectively.

Excellent organizational skills, self- motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to relate to colleagues. Committed to team development, and product and service excellence.

Work hours are primarily daylight, but may need to support other shifts on occasion.
