The Assistant Director of Nursing is the clinical leader within the Continuing Care facilities who is responsible for the management of the clinical staff within Continuing Care. The Director of Nursing is committed to providing a high quality healthcare to the residents in each level of service within the Continuing Care. In addition, the Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for supporting goals & strategy established by the Director of Nursing and leads the continuing care clinical care teams to higher levels of performance and quality.
Eagle's Trace, an Erickson Living community in Houston, TX is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing for our Continuing Care Retirement Community. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for clinical leadership and outcomes within our Skilled, Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods.
- Leading and mentoring a team of clinical staff members, ensuring Erickson’s Person Centered Care approach and creating an exceptional environment for our residents.
- Ensuring appropriate staff are provided based on resident acuity in each level of care.
- Monitoring infection control for staff and residents and developing appropriate policies for infection control monitoring and reporting.
- Monitoring clinical quality areas including wound care, infection control, falls risk reduction, pain management, weight loss and dehydration.
- Participating in Wound Rounds, Operations Meetings, Utilization Review and Performance Improvement/Risk Management/Safety (PI/RM/S) Committee.
- Reviewing clinical outcomes to ensure that we stay above the National, State and Erickson benchmarking thresholds.

- Current RN nursing license with no restrictions for the state in which they operate. CPR certification required
- Basic computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office, the internet and web applications.
- Expertise in wound care, quality improvement, MDS, falls, hydration, infection control, care planning, etc… a plus.
