CommonBond invites qualified applicants to apply for a Yardi Administrator position at our Central Office in St. Paul, MN. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Yardi Administrator provides application support for the Yardi software system and provides application training on standard processes for staff. Create and maintain documentation used for training and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ASSOCIATED TASKS
1.) Application Support
- Setup and maintain user access, menus, and security.
- Integrate acquired and new properties into the system (Work with outside compliance contractor, Property Management & Asset Management to ensure new properties are appropriately set-up)
- Troubleshoot and correct application technical issues.
- Research and test new software versions, service packs, plugins, and customizations.
- Communicate with all departments (Accounting, Property Management, and Compliance) the implications of upgrades.
- In conjunction with departments, develop modifications to procedures when necessary to comply with software modifications
- Implement upgrades to the application system, including the scheduling of upgrades with Yardi Cloud Services
2.) Application Training
- Formulates teaching outline, determines instructional methods and conducts training sessions. Instructional methods may include: eLearning, individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, workshops.
- Provide primary application and procedural for new employees
- Provide follow up and on-going application and procedural training for employees.
- Communicate procedural changes to staff due to system upgrades.
- Organize quarterly meetings for staff to review procedures and Q & A.
- Work with Property Management on developing and providing quarterly meeting training.
3.) Documentation
- Writes and develops training materials such as eLearning, instructional material, multimedia Visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Develops, writes and coordinates training manuals for staff.
- Document IT-related information due to application changes and procedures.
4.) Maintain a high level of communication with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate the status of issues and repair them in a timely manner.
- Communicate any downtime to appropriate people as soon as possible.
- Update Directors and CBC Staff on the status of ongoing issues.
- Communicate software and procedural changes to staff.
- Suggests improvements in department specific work procedures.
- Interacts with Regional Managers with regard to the developmental training of specific employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of government housing subsidy programs.
- Two years of experience in property management, compliance or leasing.
- Minimum of 3 years of advanced Yardi systems experience.
- Procedural and industry-standard training experience.
- Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees. Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience developing procedural manuals.
- Ability and wiliness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrate experience working with a diverse population.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to type data into a computer
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Ability to use hands to grasp, twist and pull
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness and ability to travel between sites for meetings and training
- Willingness for minimal travel including overnight trips as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively written and orally.
