The City of Goshen is accepting applications for the position of Recorder/Treasurer. Applicant MUST be a Goshen resident. This will NOT be an elected position going forward. Applicant will be required to attend City Council & Planning Commission meetings. Applicant will be required to perform work at Goshen City Hall.
Applicants must have:
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude with interpersonal skills dealing with the public and fellow employees
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Recorder/Treasurer duties
-Signs checks
-signs contracts & agreements with mayor
-Reconciles bank statement
Recorder
-submits all items required to go to the newspaper
-prepares council, planning & depository Board agendas, notifies the public & posts meeting notices
-Corresponds with those who want an item on the agenda.
-attends Council & Planning meetings, records meetings
-Prepares minutes to be approved for the following meeting.
-Responsible for getting all new numbered, official ordinances from the attorney, putting in ordinance
book & posting for public viewing
-Additional duties assigned by the City Council
Position is part time @ 35 hours per month. Hourly rate based on experience will range from $10-$20. Submit resume & cover letter NO LATER THAN August 2, 2019 to Goshen Mayor, Goshen City Hall, P. O.
