Youth Programs and Activities Recreation Supervisor
The City of Fruita is accepting applications for a Youth Programs and Activities Recreation Supervisor. This position will perform professional planning, organizing, and administration of youth programs and activities. This position will develop, implement, and oversee a variety of youth programs and activities, serve as DinoMites Camp Director, including creating a curriculum for Summer Camp Days Off and maintaining licensing for School Aged Childcare Center in the State of Colorado, and ensuring that all camp documents are completed correctly before registration. Other duties include, but are not limited to, training, hiring, scheduling and evaluating program staff; developing and implementing periodic needs assessment of programs as well as evaluations of existing programs; and serving as the Parks and Recreation liaison for the Youth Action Council.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Recreation, Outdoor Education, Education with a Specialty in Art, Elementary or Early Childhood Education or a subject in the Human Service Field and a minimum of two years' experience working in the recreation field. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation as this position will work with youth and other vulnerable populations. Salary is $42,868.
