Job description for Sewing Associate:
Beverly Knits designs and develops fabric for all markets, including intimate apparel, active wear, outdoor products, mattress and bedding, automotive, industrial, and medical. We also produce fire retardant products for apparel, bedding and industrial end uses. Sewing Associates are responsible for identifying the fabric design, style, and associated stitching required for each product. They sew products together using various machines. Though Sewing Associates work mostly independently, they partner with various positions throughout the Cutting and Sewing department picking up and delivering fabric. Sewing Associates work closely with BKI's maintenance, supervisors and other team members to ensure we're delivering high-quality fabrics to delight our customers.

What you'll do:
• Sew and package socks according to the Recipe Guide instructions.
• Ensure that the proper fabric is being sewn with the correct thread.
• Continuously check the fabric for marked and unmarked defects.
• Minimize downtime by utilizing service personnel and getting any required maintenance assistance for your machine immediately
• Adhere to break schedule and assure your break partner can handle the task effectively.
• Maintain high level of housekeeping essential to the efficient production of high quality knit fabrics.
• Seek continuous improvements allowing Beverly Knits to continue to be a market leader so that future jobs are assured.
• Be enthusiastic about delivering exceptional products for our customers and be a positive, motivational team member.

What's required of you:
• Three or more years of experience in Industrial sewing
• Physical abilities to stand and walk on concrete floors
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to lint, chemicals, and heat in summer months.
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must comply with all safety, quality and production requirements and instructions.
